Fondazione Santobono Pausilipon onlus (PAUSIL)

Santobono Pausilipon Foundation (PAUSIL) is the ancillary structure of the Santobono Pausilipon pediatric hospital (Azienda Ospedaliera Pediatrica Santobono Pausilipon), specifically dedicated to support the hospital in daily management – as well as strategic planning – of medical services, and in the development of research projects and training programs. The Santobono-Pausilipon pediatric hospital is the oldest and the largest pediatric hospital in the South of Italy. Santobono-Pausilipon pediatric hospital recorded 111.000 accesses to the first aid in 2014, i.e. about 300 per day. This is the highest rate recorded in Italy by a pediatric emergency service. FSP is a no-profit organization, headquartered in Naples but active nationwide and internationally. Its mission is to support the Santobono-Pausilipon pediatric hospital in all activities that are related to the pursuit of a better quality of life for patients and their families. Allowing child patients and their family the possibility to take advantage of remote tele-monitoring and follow-up care even when abroad – around which the KONFIDO pilot app is centered – is one of the main priority of PAUSIL.
