Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale Per L’Informatica (CINI)
CINI (Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per l'Informatica) is a consortium of Computer Science and Computer Engineering research groups operating within Italian Universities. It currently comprises the major Italian Universities and receives support from the Ministry for University and Research (MIUR), and from the Ministry for Industry. Similarly to other consortia recently activated across Europe, most CINI's research activities are performed by the Research Units located at the member Universities. The Research Team which will be contributing to the project is the Fault and Intrusion Tolerant Networked SystemS (FITNESS) Research Group, which consists of researchers, who are currently at the University of Naples Parthenope (they were formerly at Federico II University and CINI). These researchers have been actively involved in several EU-funded projects, and in particular: INTERSECTION, INSPIRE, INSPIRE INCO and SAWSOC.
