KONFIDO Final Plenary Meeting

The 8th, and final, plenary meeting of the KONFIDO project took place in Naples, Italy, on September 16-18, in conjunction with the KONFIDO Final end-user workshop. Project partners from EXUS, Time Lex, Fondazione Santobono Pausilipon onlus, Telbios, Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), IDIBAPS, Commissariat a l’ Energie Atomique et Aux Energies Alternatives (CEA), Eulambia Advanced Technologies, Bit4id, Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale Per L’Informatica (CINI), all met together to discuss the validation and evaluation of the KONFIDO outcomes and schedule that last set of actions towards the end of the project.

The meeting started with the Project Coordinator presenting the progress performed since the previous plenary meeting in Paris, and setting the objectives of the 8th meeting. This was followed by presentations on the execution of the KONFIDO pilots, and on the evaluation of the KONFIDO tools. The legal and ethical assessment of the KONFIDO project results was also discussed. The second day of the plenary was dedicated to the discussing the outcomes of the Final end-user workshop that took place earlier that day. Input received by policy makers and health practitioners was assessed, while Mr. Dimitrios Katehakis, Head of Center for eHealth Applications and Services at FORTH, and member of our Advisory Board, provided us with his views and his suggestions on the exploitation of the project results. The 8th plenary meeting concluded on September 18 with the presentations and discussions on the final steps for our dissemination and exploitation activities.
